A perfect weekend getaway at ND studios Karjat with family was worth to watch out for. You can imagine the real scences of a film while taking a walk in and around ND studios.
How to reach ND studios- Train is the best option to reach Karjat station and you can take a bus/rickshaw for around 15-20 rs per seat as its just ten minutes from the Karjat railway station. You can also reach here by a private car/ola or an uber.
Entry fees- Between Monday to Friday the approximate rates are 500-600 and for the weekends (Sat-Sun) the cost is around 1000-1200. Its better to avoid weekdays as its a little bit crowded. The entrance looks quite impressive with king-sized elephant statues and much more.
Bollywood sets- As soon as you enter you can see innumerable paintings of Bollywood movie posters of 1950’s and movies which were a hit then.
There is a replica set of Fountain which is few minutes away from C.S.T in Mumbai. A police station where most of the Dabangg franchise scenes are shot here with our one and only Salman Khan.
Sheesh Mahal- which was just a wonderful piece of art at ND studios Karjat is surely an Instagram set you can say. Super colourful with unlimited mirrors and art work and lamps people here were constantly clicking pictures. Few scenes of Panipat movie too were shot here with Kriti Sanon.
As you go ahead there are huge tall brown sets, a set with Lord Ganesha’s murti and few other sets were a part of the Panipat movie.
A huge lane with full of yellow lights looked appealing where you can spot paintings of all the Bollywood stars and Superstar Rajini Sir as well. Plus few vintage items with props were also the part of this lane where a song from Pati Patni aur Woh which is Kartik Aryan’s movie.
Another huge lavish set which is Salman Khans bungalow from the movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is also a part of ND studios. I must admit the owner and of course the senior art director of India Mr. Nitin Desai and his team has really worked their level best to built this amazing studio.
Even the popular hindi soap Tenali Rama is shot here, you can witness the beautiful set here. Also a village set just few mins away from here.
A Hollywood star studded museum was over-crowded here. You see the statues of your favourite Hollywood legends from Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie to one of the World’s highest paid actor Will Smith. Among all these stars the most popular was Mr. Bean. People went crazy for clicking pictures with him.
There’s a court-room, a market set, a garden,a mahal and lot more here.
What you see in movies you see here. Its actually like a filmy dream here. You see your favourite stars, you feel like one here when you enter. I recommend hardcore bollywood people to come here and watch the sets and backdrops designed by ND studios team which are worth to watch out for.
There’s also a Bollywood show happening here inside an auditorium. Do confirm the timings before booking your tickets. They have duplicates of Salman Khan and other few actors who perform really well and make you laugh.
