- Litti Chokha – One of the best Litti Chokha in Mumbai is located just opposite Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium in Thane. You will get the original taste of Bihar at this stall where he places Litti on Coal untill its cooked properly and ready to eat. Prabhuchand bhai who is the owner of the stall said that many of street vendors tried to copy his style of making Litti Chokha but couldn’t give justice to the taste which he delivers. He serves 4 Littis and Chokha with green Chutney and Onions just at 50 rupees. You may see a bunch of corporates, students and people coming out of their cars just to have this delicious Litti Chokha Also if you want to have more authentic Litti Chokha then locals of Bihar use Cow Dung as a replacement for coal to give a better taste.

- Gavran Misal – Another hidden gem in thane when it comes to street food is Gavran Misal located at Sainath Nagar just near the traffic police chowki. This special Chulivarchi Misal is one of a kind in Thane where Misal is made on Chulha giving a special taste to the Misal itself. We were shocked to hear that you can actually see swiggy and zomato guys from morning 6 am and by 12-2 pm they are out of orders. The owner Subhash Agre says, “We love to serve public and are not hungry for profits, we guarantee that if you do not like the taste we will return the money back”. Not too much spicy, this Misal has to be on your list.

- Vidarbha Express- This unique food truck in Thane is the idea of two friends who invested in food business by introducing the Nagpur based concept here in Mumbai. Tarri Poha, Tarri Samosa and Sambar wadi are the three top notch dishes where Tarri plays an important role, tarri is called a spicy chana based gravy which originated in Nagpur and is mixed with poha and Samosa to get a more spicy and juicy taste. They are the first one to bring this concept in Mumbai and want Mumbaikars to experience Nagpur’s taste in Mumbai itself. We had Sambar Wadi and Tarri Poha here and were stunned by the filling and the taste. We rate this food truck a 5/5 and highly recommend this to everyone.

- Darjeeling Momos- Who doesn’t love Momos? Well the story is interesting here, from selling Momos on footpath to now owning a mega outlet and serving Momos with more than 100 varieties is surely a big achievement. Chicken momos, peri peri momos, veg momos and the list of juicy momos goes on, they have done everything precisely. Located in Vasant Vihar this place has to be surely on your bucket list. The space is always full after 6 pm and if you are a momo fan make sure you come on time to gorge on the delicious momos.

- Shegaon kachori– The oldest and the most popular kachoriwala in Thane has to be Shegaon Kachori which has total three branches accross Thane. They sell thousands of kachoris per day which has a stuffing of moong dal, super crispy from outside served with mirchi. If you live in Thane and haven’t yet had this kachori than you are not a Thanekar. The price of Kachori is just 12 rupees and the orders are always full here.
